WordPress Workshop in STTC Mae Sot

Precious time in STTC Mae Sot, thanks to Colabora Birmania

(Català més avall) (Castellano al final) (Sorry for my English, I tried!) :)

Some time ago, I made a trip to Mae Sot (Thailand) to see and live the projects in which the NGO “Colabora Birmania” help; and to do some workshops with them, as volunteer.

During some weeks , I  was teaching at the School STTC, (Science and Technology Training Center), basic html and WordPress,  so that together we built the website of the Center, I teach to, computer classes in general:  images retouching, mail, etc …

STTC is a vocational school for young Burmese immigrants. Was founded by Kyaw and Aye in July 2008 . The main part of the lessons are teach by themselves, but there is a whole part of knowledge that are taught by volunteer teachers. For example English, computer science, design or photography.
“Colabora Birmania” help this school, among other things, providing volunteers to complete their training. Here was held the  nice and  successful “Thanaka Project”(http://www.thanakaproject.org).

The website at the end of the workshop, was fully working (http://sttcmaesot.com) and although still is missing some things the students worked very well in the project.
It was a fantastic experience, although the class I shared was only 2 or 3 hours, I was living with them, 24 hours a day, and saw firsthand the extensive training they receive and the great family that they form.

Surely, I will visit again! The last day They prepared a day trip full of amazing activities!
Love you STTC People !! ;)

During this days I visited The Chicken School Kinder garden, another project supported by “Colabora Birmania” and Km42 School, Where I have been teaching the two photography workshops (Bubble Project & Decisive Moment, and Cartoons & Plastic Photography Workshop)

All the Schools were full of smiles that going direct to your heart! :)

Thanks to the team “Colabora Birmania” for letting me enjoy this wonderful experience!

Love you STTC People !! ;)

Love you STTC People!! ;)
